On January 31, 2025, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania organized a presentation of the book Presentation of the new books President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov „Magtymguly – the Sage of the World”, National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov „Jewel of the Mind” and new edition of selected poems of Magtymguly Fragi.
The book by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov titled „Magtymguly – the Sage of the World”has become a wonderful and invaluable gift for both the people of Turkmenistan and a wide readership on the eve of 2025, designated as the „International Year of Peace and Trust”.
The book comprehensively explores Magtymguly’s significance in Turkmen history and his creative contributions to the golden treasury of world literature. It reflects scientific research on studying Magtymguly’s life and works, highlights the importance of his wise teachings in strengthening universal peace, and covers international events held in 2024 under the motto „Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi” to mark the 300th anniversary of this outstanding master of words.
The book consists of eight sections: „The Key to Understanding Magtymguly”; „The School of Magtymguly Fragi and Turkmen Scholars of Magtymguly „; „Fount of Wisdom”; „Poet of Peace”; „Poet of Times and Civilizations”; „Remain in the Memory of the People”; „Adopted Documents, Congratulations and Speeches Related to the 300th Anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi”; „On the Path to the Creator and Truth”.
As President noted: „Magtymguly is a deep ocean, to find the pearls of his creativity, one must dive to its depths. Magtymguly is a high sky, to grasp its height, one must rise to the stars. Magtymguly is a great man, to understand his perfection, one must possess high human qualities.”

The new work of the head of state „Magtymguly – the Sage of the World” particularly highlights talented scholars, professors, writers and foreign specialists who contributed to studying the life and literary legacy of this great poet, giving high praise to their work. The book includes lists of individuals awarded the jubilee medal „Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna” and commemorative badges according to relevant documents signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. These awards serve as valuable reminders for future generations. The new book by the head of state serves as a key to understanding the rich literary heritage of this poet and sage, an outstanding son of the Turkmen nation.
The new book “Jewel of the Mind” of the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presents scientific data on political and trade relations of the Altyn-Depe, Margush, Seljuk and Horezmshakh states with their close neighbors. According to these data, Turkmens have been following the principles of peace and effectively applying preventive diplomacy since ancient times.
The new book will allow foreign readers to get acquainted with interesting information about the history of Turkmen people, moral values, the evolvement of science, education and culture in Turkmenistan, as well as the principles of peacefulness and creation inherited from the Oguzhan era.
The book “Jewel of the Mind” consists of the “Foreword” and two parts. The first part “Visit to History” tells about the glorious historical path of Turkmen people, as well as the historical and cultural monuments saved on the territory of the country. The National Leader of Turkmen people presented his views and reasoning on these subjects in five chapters of his work. The second section “Spiritual Legacy”, consisting of six chapters, tells about the diversity of cultural and spiritual values that constitute the heritage of the nation.
Talking about the creative research, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan emphasized that while creating the new book he used his previously written works and publications presented to the public, as well as the information collected on the basis of recent historical discoveries made by local archeologists, who are making every effort to glorify the Motherland, by referring to the manuscripts brought from abroad.
The selected poems of Magtymguly Fragi was translated into several languages. His poems sound like a hymn to humanism, patriotism, unity, and cohesion, they have become a reference point and a model for scientists and poets of many countries.
In spite of the fact that centuries have passed, Magtymguly’s works still sound anew today, his creativity awakens interest and gains admirers far beyond the borders of Turkmenistan. The poems of the poet and thinker serve as a guide of love for the Motherland, humanism, peace, friendship, solidarity, mutual trust and respect between cultures and peoples.
The poetry of Magtymguly Fragi has gained a new dynamism, became an envoy of goodwill of the Turkmen people for the development of friendly, good-neighborly relations with the peoples of the world, and strengthening international humanitarian ties.
